Sonalika, one of the largest tractor brand from India has registered a growth of 17% with sale of 1215 units as compared to 1042 units in November month for same period in 2017. Company hopes for 15-20% growth in international markets.
It is worth noting that Sonalika recently inaugurated world’s largest tractor manufacturing plant in Punjab, India with a capacity to roll out 500 tractors per day which is a major step towards make in India movement.
Mr. Raman Mittal, the executive director of Sonalika ITL mentioned while commenting on the ongoing growth in international markets, “Our strategy has been to focus across HP segments and our tractors have become the preferred choice of progressive farmers not just in India but globally. To further strengthen our presence in Europe and the US market, we have recently unveiled Solis 30 HST (Hydrostatic Transmission) in Agritechnica – Hanover Germany in November.”
“Solis a well-recognized brand from ITL in Europe was very much appreciated in the exhibition for Solis 30 HST along with Solis22, Solis 28 and other tractors with next generation tractor platform. Through our tie-up with Yanmar, we are targeting five more markets in 2018.”
Sonalika was wide spread foot prints in Brazil, Algeria, Iran and Cameroon with an assembly plant in each of these countries. And exports SKD (semi knock down), CKD (complete knock down) and completely build tractors to about 90 countries on the globe. It is worth noting that Somalika has already crossed 50,000 units mark in Indian market for current fiscal year.
