Sonalika Sold 25,002 Tractors in First Quarter (Q1, FY18)

International Tractors Ltd, famous for its brand name Sonalika has shared data of its global sales for tractors for past quarter. As per Sonalika they have sold a total of 25,002 tractors (domestic and export together) from period April to June 2017. This is a growth of 17.6% as compared to same period last year.

Company has claimed that they have by now achieved highest ever selling figure in a quarter for domestic market which is at 22,165 tractors. In last year same quarter it was at 18,725 units. So growth for domestic market stood tall at 18.4%.

Executive Director of Sonalika Mr. Raman Mittal said that Sonalika is a well-known and a reliable brand across the globe today. The company has always focused on customized solution for all types of farming needs. Healthy monsoon has strengthened the volumes of Sonalika this year. Increased awareness of mechanization in increasing yield and agri loan waiver schemes by states have also helped the company.

By now Sonalika is third largest seller in India for tractor market and gaining a momentum year over year. Recently Sonalika extended its production capacity at its main plant in Hoshiarpur, Punjab. The company has capacity to produce 3 lakh tractor annually and has a strong base of 7 lakh customers.
